2007

Last years tournament was held in Houston, TX., Wednesday, July 11th through Friday July 13th. An additional team was added to total 9 participating teams from across the country representing the Giants, Jets, Ravens, Redskins, Falcons, Saints, Texans, 49ers, and the Broncos. It was a two-day tournament with Day 1 consisting of round robin play for seed and Day 2 the double elimination bracket tournament. In addition to the football, the teams got a chance to socialize with student athletes from other parts of the country. All 126 players and coaches got to taste some Texas style BBQ at the Longhorn Café one night and experience some good old Texas traditions at the H&H Ranch on the second night. In the end the Redskins prevailed beating the Giants in the championship game to become the 3-time defending NFL 7-on-7 champions.

2006

In its 3rd year, the tournament was moved to Atlanta, Ga. and hosted by the Atlanta Falcons. There were 8 participating teams again representing the Falcons, Jaguars, Giants, Jets, Ravens, Redskins, Eagles, and Saints. The football was exciting and intense. When not on the fields the kids got to socialize with other teams and coaches. One night the kids went bowling, the next they participated in the life skills forum at the Falcons training facility with guest speakers Billy "White shoes" Johnson as well as Keith Brooking. Following the life skills, the Falcons put on a tremendous BBQ with a DJ and the Falcon cheerleaders groovin with the players. When it was time to hit the field again the players were ready. In the Championship game, the Redskins team beat Jaguars and repeated as NFL 7-on-7 National Champions

2005

In its second year, the tournament increased to include 8 participating teams. Each team represented the NFL team in their area. Participating teams included; Maryland (Ravens), Atlanta(Falcons), Washington,DC(Redskins), S. NJ/Philadelphia(Eagles), New Jersey(Giants), New York City (Jets), Westchester (Giants #2), and Long Island (Jets#2). In the championship game the Redskins beat the Falcons.

 

2004

The first NFL 7-on-7 tournament was held in 2004 at halftime of The Empire Challenge (NY vs. LI.)  In its premiere year there were 4 participating 7-on-7 teams; Washington D.C. Metro Area, Long Island, NY, NYC, Staten Island and Westchester, NY.  The tournament was held in Hempstead, NY at Hofstra University.
