District students complete NFL program

Nearly 140 students completed the Junior Player Development Program, sponsored by the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals and run in cooperation with the Dysart Unified School District. The program is designed for incoming freshmen as an introduction to tackle football. Incoming students from Dysart, Willow Canyon and Valley Vista high schools participated in the
program. Football staffs from the three schools supervised the sessions. The NFL subsidized the program, loaning all the football equipment. Each player got to keep the football jersey, equipment bag and wristband following completion of the two-week session.
